And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.
And he shall break it like the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a shard to take fire from the hearth, or to take water with out of the pit.
Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase which is sealed, and this deed which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may last many days.
