Whereupon the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, The LORD is righteous.

And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent concerning his servants.

Return, O LORD, how long? and may you repent concerning your servants.

Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from your fierce anger, and repent of this evil against your people.

And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do to his people.

And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, The LORD lives; as they taught my people to swear by Baal; then shall they be built in the midst of my people.

You have forsaken me, says the LORD, you have gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against you, and destroy you; I am weary with repenting.

Therefore now mend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent of the evil that he has pronounced against you.

Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and pleaded with the LORD, and the LORD repented of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we bring about great evil against our souls.

Perhaps they will listen, and every man will turn from his evil way, that I may repent of the evil which I purpose to do to them because of the evil of their doings.

It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do to them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.

If you will yet remain in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent of the evil that I have done to you.

But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

Say to them, As I live, says the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?

Therefore, you son of man, say to the children of your people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turns from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live because of his righteousness in the day that he sins.

When I shall say to the righteous that he shall surely live; if he trusts to his own righteousness, and commits iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he has committed, he shall die for it.

Again, when I say to the wicked, You shall surely die; if he turns from his sin, and does that which is lawful and right;

How shall I give you up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver you, Israel? how shall I make you like Admah? how shall I treat you like Zeboim? my heart is overturned within me, my repentings are kindled together.

Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish justice in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

And he prayed to the LORD, and said, I pray you, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before to Tarshish: for I knew that you are a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and are sorry for the evil.

For the LORD shall judge his people, and be sorry for his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for the LORD was sorry because of their groanings because of those who oppressed them and troubled them.
