Yea, you overwhelm the fatherless, and you dig a pit for your friend.

Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.

The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider your testimonies.

They repaid me evil for good to the plundering of my soul.

For without any reason have they hid for me their net in a pit, which for no reason they have dug for my soul.

They also that return evil for good are my adversaries; because I follow the thing that is good.

They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have dug a pit before me, into the midst of which they are fallen themselves. Selah.

He made a pit, and dug it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.

He who rewards evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.

He who digs a pit shall fall in it: and he that rolls a stone, it will return upon him.

He that digs a pit shall fall into it; and he who breaks a hedge, a serpent shall bite him.

Therefore do not pray for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me concerning their trouble.

We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against you.

Then said the LORD to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go away.

Let them be put to shame who persecute me, but let me not be put to shame: let them be dismayed, but let me not be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.

Give heed to me, O LORD, and listen to the voice of those who contend with me.

Let a cry be heard from their houses, when you shall bring a troop suddenly upon them: for they have dug a pit to take me, and hid snares for my feet.

But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, do not go to Babylon.

For among my people are found wicked men: they lie in wait, as he that sets snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

Therefore do not pray for this people, neither lift up a cry nor a prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear you.

O LORD, you have seen my wrong: judge thou my cause.

Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shown you from my Father; for which of those works do you stone me?

But this takes place, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

And Jonathan spoke good concerning David to Saul his father, and said to him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he has not sinned against you, and because his works towards you have been very good:
