For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passes away, and comes not again.

Remember how short my time is: why have you made all men in vain?

Do not boast about tomorrow; for you do not know what a day may bring forth.

Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for why should he be considered?

My years are departed, and are removed from me like a shepherd’s tent: I have cut off my life like a weaver: he will cut me off with wasting sickness: from day even to night will you make an end of me.

But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls away:

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch even to prayer.

And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God remains for ever.
