Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He that speaks evil of his brother, and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law, and judges the law: but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge.

Do not let an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be condemned: forgive, and you shall be forgiven:

Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are that judge: for in judging another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge do the same things.

(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. No, I would not have known sin, except by the law: for I would not have known lust, unless the law had said, You shall not covet.

Therefore judge nothing before the time until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make known the intentions of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise from God.

For I fear, that, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would like, and that I shall be found by you such as you would not like: lest there be debates, envying, wrath, strife, backbiting, whispering, pride, tumults:

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Even so must their wives be serious, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, without self control, fierce, despisers of those who are good,

The elderly women likewise, that they be in behavior as suits holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

Do not err, my beloved brethren.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger:

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues in it, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

If you fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well:

Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

Be patient therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receives the early and latter rain.

Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned: behold, the judge stands before the door.

Therefore laying aside all malice, and all deceit, and hypocrisy, and envy, and all evil speaking,
