And do not enter into judgment with your servant: for in your sight shall no man living be justified.

Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah that bore you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.

And do not think to say within yourselves, We have Abraham as our father: for I say to you, that God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.

The oath which he swore to our father Abraham,

And he cried out and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

And he said, No, father Abraham: but if one went to them from the dead, they would repent.

They answered and said to him, Abraham is our father. Jesus said to them, If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.

Are you greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead: whom do you make yourself?

And he said, Men, kindred, and fathers, listen; The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran,

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as concerning the flesh, has found?

And the father of circumcision to those who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end that the promise might be sure to all the descendents; not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

Yea, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

You see then that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

And I took your father Abraham from the other side of the flood, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his descendents, and gave him Isaac.
