And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and cut stones, to lay the foundation of the house.

And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.

Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistening stones, and of various colors, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all.

And it came to pass in the course of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the forced labor, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the forced labor.

And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet what looked like a paved work of a sapphire stone, and like the substance of heaven in its clearness.

And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

His hands are as gold rings set with the beryl: his belly is as bright ivory overlaid with sapphires.

What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD has founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tested stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believes shall not be in haste.

Who says of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, You shall be built; and to the temple, Your foundation shall be laid.

But Zion said, The LORD has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me.

Therefore hear now this, you afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:

But I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you; who have said to your soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and you have laid down your body like the ground, and like the street, to those who went over.

And I will make your windows of agates, and your gates of carbuncles, and all your borders of pleasant stones.

For the LORD has called you like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when you were refused, says your God.

Though you have been forsaken and hated, so that no man passed through you, I will make you an eternal excellence, a joy of many generations.

For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the LORD; because they called you an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeks after.

They have heard that I sigh: there is none to comfort me: all my enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that you have done it: you will bring the day that you have proclaimed, and they shall be like me.

And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

Then I looked, and behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them what looked like a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

In the day that your walls are to be built, in that day shall the former decree be far removed.

And, behold, there arose a powerful wind in the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?
