The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

I delight to do your will, O my God: yea, your law is within my heart.

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears off from all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from all the earth: for the LORD has spoken it.

For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.

And Isaiah said to them, Thus shall you say to your master, Thus says the LORD, Be not afraid of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

Fear not, for you shall not be ashamed; neither be perplexed, for you shall not be put to shame: for you shall forget the shame of your youth, and shall not remember the reproach of your widowhood any more.

You therefore gird up your loins, and arise, and speak to them all that I command you: be not dismayed at their faces, so that I do not confound you before them.

And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with you, and you dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

And do not fear those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Blessed are you, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.

And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

In that you are plainly declared to be the letter of Christ presented by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

And these words, which I command you this day, shall be in your heart:

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made like his death;

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and consider them but filthy garbage, that I may win Christ,

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, the Lord says, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

If you are insulted for the name of Christ, happy are you; for the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you: by them he is evil spoken of, but by you he is glorified.

In which they think it strange that you do not run with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
