To fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.

And he dwells in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabits, which are ready to become heaps of ruins.

None of his food shall be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.

He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house; but he who hates bribes shall live.

And it was revealed in my ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be cleansed away from you till you die, says the Lord GOD of hosts.

Yet the fortified city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.

And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor dug; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.

Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets.

Seeing therefore that your trampling is upon the poor, and you take from him loads of wheat: you have built houses of cut stone, but you shall not dwell in them; you have planted pleasant vineyards, but you shall not drink wine from them.

For, behold, the LORD commands, and he will strike the great house with broken places, and the little house with cracks.

But when the king heard of it, he was angry: and he sent out his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

Behold, the wages of the laborers who have reaped your fields, which are by you kept back by fraud, cry out: and the cries of those who have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Hosts.
