And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your descendents after you in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you, and to your descendents after you.

O you descendents of Abraham his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen.

Even a heritage to Israel his servant: for his mercy endures for ever.

For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cling to the house of Jacob.

But you, Israel, are my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the children of Abraham my friend.

You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called you from the chief men thereof, and said to you, You are my servant; I have chosen you, and not cast you away.

Who among you will give ear to this? who will listen and hear for the time to come?

But now thus says the LORD who created you, O Jacob, and he who formed you, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are mine.

Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for you are my servant: I have formed you; you are my servant: O Israel, you shall not be forgotten by me.

For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel my elect, I have even called you by your name: I have named you, though you have not known me.

Listen to me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.

Incline your ear, and come to me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Therefore fear not, O my servant Jacob, says the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save you from afar, and your descendents from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be at rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

The lion has come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he has gone forth from his place to make your land desolate; and your cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which kills the prophets, and stones those who are sent to you; how often would I have gathered your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not!
