Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

And the LORD said to Moses, Take unto you sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like weight:

And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he dresses the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it.

Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates: they are a trouble to me; I am weary of bearing them.

Therefore says the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will relieve myself of my adversaries, and avenge myself on my enemies:

But they rebelled, and grieved his holy Spirit: therefore he turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.

And he said, Hear now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also?

So that the LORD could no longer bear it, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which you have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.

For what purpose does incense come to me from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet to me.

Because you have not remembered the days of your youth, but have troubled me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense your way upon your head, says the Lord GOD: and you shall not commit this lewdness above all your abominations.

And those who escape of you shall remember me among the nations to which they shall be taken captives, because I am broken hearted with their whorish heart, which has departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savor: all the fat is the LORD’S.

And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away off of the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savor unto the LORD; and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him.

Behold, I am burdened under you, as a cart is burdened that is full of sheaves.

But cursed be the deceiver who has in his flock a male, and vows, and sacrifices unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, says the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.
