He comes forth like a flower, and is cut down: he flees also as a shadow, and does not continue.

My days are like a shadow that lengthens; and I am withered like grass.

When the wicked spring up as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:

Cry out and shout, you inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of you.

Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and put to shame: they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as grain blighted before it is grown up.

The voice of him that cries out in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

For there shall be a day that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.

Blow ye the horn in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Beth-aven, after you, O Benjamin.

So the angel that communed with me said to me, Cry out, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
