And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the fruitful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.
For the fields of Heshbon droop, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the choice plants thereof, they have come even to Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they have gone over the sea.
Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of cheerfulness, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.
So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
