In the day shall you make your plant to grow, and in the morning shall you make your seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.

Even as I have seen, those who plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.

In the morning it flourishes, and grows up; in the evening it is cut down, and withers.

And it shall be as when the harvest man gathers the grain, and reaps the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathers ears in the valley of Rephaim.

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will you do at the end of it?

For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it has no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if perhaps it yields, the strangers shall swallow it up.

Ephraim is stricken; their root is dried up; they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.

The seed is rotten under the clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the grain is withered.

And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.

But according to your hardness and impenitent heart you store up for yourself wrath for the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

You shall plant vineyards, and dress them, but shall neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
