My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall flee to Zoar, a heifer of three years old: for by the ascent of Luhith with weeping shall they go up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall lift up a cry of destruction.

And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as you come to Zoar.

That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar.

Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.

But if you will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and my eye shall weep bitterly, and run down with tears, because the LORD’S flock is taken away captive.

As for me, I have not hurried away from being a shepherd to follow you: neither have I desired the woeful day; you know: that which came out of my lips was right before you.

My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart makes a sound in me; I cannot hold my peace, because you have heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.

Destruction upon destruction is announced; for the whole land is laid waste: suddenly are my tents ruined, and my curtains in a moment.

A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, ruin and great destruction.

For in the ascent of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the descent of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction.

At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations.

For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the birds of the heavens and the beast have fled; they are gone.

Woe to you, Moab! you are undone, O people of Chemosh: he has given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity to Sihon king of the Amorites.
