Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.

I will wash my hands in innocence: so will I go round about your altar, O LORD:

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

Do not turn to the right hand or to the left: remove your foot from evil.

Depart, depart, go ye out from there, touch no unclean thing; go out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.

Now therefore go, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a purpose against you: return now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.

They said, Turn back now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD has given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:

Perhaps they will listen, and every man will turn from his evil way, that I may repent of the evil which I purpose to do to them because of the evil of their doings.

I have sent also to you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return now every man from his evil way, and correct your doings, and do not go after other gods to serve them, and you shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but you have not turned your ear, nor listened to me.

O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts reside within you?

Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish justice in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.

In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

Should you not hear the words which the LORD has cried out by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?

Bring forth therefore fruits suitable for repentance:

And now why do you delay? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cling to that which is good.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.

Therefore laying aside all malice, and all deceit, and hypocrisy, and envy, and all evil speaking,

Let him turn from evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and pursue it.

And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they who came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
