Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says the LORD; I remember you, the kindness of your youth, your bridal love, when you went after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.

Thus shall you say to him, The LORD says thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.

Therefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.

As I live, says the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:

So that I do not strip her naked, and leave her as in the day that she was born, and make her like a wilderness, and make her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.

And all her sculptured images shall be beaten to pieces, and all her gifts shall be burned with the fire, and all her idols will I lay desolate: for she gathered it from the wages of a harlot, and they shall return to the wages of a harlot.

Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in birth labor: for now shall you go forth out of the city, and you shall dwell in the field, and you shall go even to Babylon; there shall you be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem you from the hand of your enemies.

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

No one can come to me, unless the Father who has sent me draws him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and sixty days.

And her husband arose, and went after her, to speak friendly to her, and to bring her again, having his servant with him, and a couple of donkeys: and she brought him into her father’s house: and when the father of the damsel saw him, he rejoiced to meet him.
