Then Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses did not give you that bread from heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.

And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Seeing then that God gave them the same gift as he did to us, who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ; who was I, that I could withstand God?

And God, who knows the hearts, bore them witness, giving them the Holy Spirit, even as he did to us;

But Peter said to him, Your money perish with you, because you have thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end that you may be established;

In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

This only would I learn from you, Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

He therefore that ministers to you the Spirit, and works miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of his power.

But to every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the elders.

In meekness instructing those who place themselves in opposition; if God will perhaps give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm: the Lord reward him according to his works:

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle of afflictions;

God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will?

If anyone sees his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for those who do not sin unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he should pray for it.
