Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self, and said to them, I will multiply your descendents as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give to your descendents, and they shall inherit it forever.

I have sworn by myself, the word has gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

But if you will not hear these words, I swear by myself, says the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation.

Therefore hear the word of the LORD, all Judah who dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD lives.

For I have sworn by myself, says the LORD, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.

I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them.

You will perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.

The oath which he swore to our father Abraham,

Brethren, I speak according to the manner of men; Though it is only a man’s covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no man cancels it, or adds to it.

For if the inheritance is from the law, it is no more from a promise: but God gave it to Abraham by a promise.

Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them and to their descendents after them.
