Nevertheless they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God.

Now do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his anger may turn away from you.

And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning to the LORD God of Israel.

But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and did not listen to your commandments,

And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the complaining of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart, and did not listen to them; as the LORD had said.

Happy is the man that fears always: but he that hardens his heart shall fall into mischief.

He, that being often reproved hardens his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

Yet they did not listen to me, or turn their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.

But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:

And the LORD said to Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be before they believe me, for all the signs which I have shown among them?

For this people’s heart has become fat, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

But when some were hardened, and did not believe, but spoke evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

He brought them out, after he had shown wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.

Neither should we provoke Christ, as some of them also provoked, and were destroyed by serpents.

You shall not tempt the LORD your God, as you tempted him in Massah.

Why then do you harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had worked wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?
