Honor your father and your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God gives you.

The eye that mocks his father, and despises to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.

The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, says the LORD, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.

A son honors his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is my honor? and if I be a master, where is my fear? says the LORD of hosts to you, O priests, who despise my name. And you say, How have we despised your name?

And they fell on their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and will you be angry with all the congregation?

Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

Saying, There was in a city a judge, who did not fear God, neither regarded man:

And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I do not fear God, nor regard man;

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was made to be of the descendents of David according to the flesh;

For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kindred according to the flesh:

Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

Cursed be he that despises his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

And he said to me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show his servants the things which must shortly be done.
