​The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me: your mercy, O LORD, endures for ever: forsake not the works of your own hands.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help; and rely on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

Look to me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none other.

He is despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

And I will wait for the LORD, that hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

From that time on Jesus began to show his disciples how he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to you; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what you will.

And the scripture was fulfilled, which says, And he was numbered with the transgressors.

So then after the Lord had spoken to them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

And he answered and told them, Elijah truly comes first, and restores all things; and indeed it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be treated with contempt.

And immediately the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou my unbelief.

And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith.

And Herod with his men of war treated him with contempt, and mocked him, and dressed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him back to Pilate.

Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.

Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone: but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit.

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God, and was going to God;

And this is the will of him who sent me, that every one who sees the Son, and believes in him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made that same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

And killed the Prince of life, whom God has raised from the dead; of which we are witnesses.

Him has God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

For the preaching of the cross is to those who perish foolishness; but to us who are saved it is the power of God.

But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness;

And that he might reconcile both to God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling fragrance.

Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

For our conduct is in heaven; from which also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but to all those also who love his appearing.

But to which of the angels did he say at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself cleansed away our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

For by one offering he has perfected for ever those who are sanctified.

Partly, while you were made a gazing stock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, while you became companions of those who were so treated.

And others had trials of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

For consider him who endured such opposition of sinners against himself, so that you do not become wearied and faint in your minds.

Let us go out therefore to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation to all those who obey him;

For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by which we draw near to God.

Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such a high priest, who is seated on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to those who look for him shall he appear the second time without sin for salvation.

My brethren, do not have the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with unfair preference for certain persons.

Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that would follow.

For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit:

Who has gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life.

Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying to me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things says the first and the last, who was dead, and is alive;
