You went forth for the salvation of your people, even for salvation with your anointed; you wounded the head out of the house of the wicked, by uncovering the foundation to the neck. Selah.
And David came to Baal-perazim, and David struck them down there, and said, The LORD has broken forth upon my enemies before me, as the outpouring of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baal-perazim.
Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?
So will I break down the wall that you have daubed with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be uncovered, and it shall fall, and you shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and you shall know that I am the LORD.
I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Strike the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and wound them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he of them who flees shall not flee away, and he of them who escapes shall not be delivered.
And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Beth-horon, that the LORD threw down great stones from heaven upon them as far as Azekah, and they died: they were more who died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel killed with the sword.
And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings to Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.
And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and struck them with the edge of the sword, and he completely destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD commanded.
And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who struck them, and chased them to great Sidon, and to Misrephoth-maim, and to the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they struck them, until they left them none remaining.
