And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried out before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.
And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it on Joseph’s hand, and dressed him in clothing of fine linen, and put a gold chain around his neck;
And the man, the lord of the country, said to us, Hereby shall I know that you are true men; leave one of your brothers here with me, and take food for the famine of your households, and be gone:
And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph’s brothers came, and bowed themselves down before him with their faces to the earth.
So now it was not you that sent me here, but God: and he has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
For Mordecai the Jew was next to king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted by the multitude of his kindred, seeking the prosperity of his people, and speaking peace to all his people.
And all the king’s servants, that were in the king’s gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai did not bow, nor did him reverence.
Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.
And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
