And he said to him, See, I have accepted you concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for which you have spoken.

To the woman he said, I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in sorrow you shall bring forth children; and your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over you.

Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: because him will I accept: so that I do not deal with you according to your folly, in that you have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.

It is not good to favor the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination: how much more, when he brings it with a wicked mind?

Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, you backsliding Israel, says the LORD; and I will not cause my anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, says the LORD, and I will not have anger for ever.

For what purpose does incense come to me from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet to me.

Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he does not retain his anger for ever, because he delights in mercy.

Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nothing? neither do you kindle fire on my altar for nothing. I have no pleasure in you, says the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.

You said also, Behold, what a weariness it is! and you have sniffed at it, says the LORD of hosts; and you brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus you brought an offering: should I accept this from your hand? says the LORD.

And if you offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if you offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now to your governor; will he be pleased with you, or accept your person? says the LORD of hosts.

But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.

But in every nation he who fears him, and works righteousness, is accepted with him.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

For he who in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved by men.

That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?

To the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he has made us accepted in the beloved.

But if any widow has children or nephews, let them first learn to show piety at home, and to repay their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.

By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaks.

Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.

You also, as living stones, are built up into a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
