You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and did not remain in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

In this the children of God are made known, and the children of the devil: whoever does not do righteousness is not of God, neither he that does not love his brother.

Not like Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And why did he slay him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer: and you know that no murderer has eternal life dwelling in him.
