Not like Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And why did he slay him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

If a person says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab’s anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why did you come down here? and with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride, and the wickedness of your heart; for you are come down that you might see the battle.
