When Leah saw that she had left off bearing, she took Zilpah her maid, and gave her to Jacob as wife.
And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.
And Laban gave to his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for a handmaid.
And she conceived again, and bore a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and ceased bearing.
And Zilpah Leah’s maid bore Jacob a son.
And God heard and answered Leah, and she conceived, and bore Jacob the fifth son.
And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid as wife: and Jacob went in to her.
And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.
These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bore to Jacob, even sixteen souls.
