And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son’s venison, that my soul may bless you. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he drank.

And the king said to her, What ails you? And she answered, I am indeed a widow woman, and my husband is dead.

He said to him, I am a prophet also as you are; and an angel spoke to me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with you into your house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied to him.

For your mouth tells your iniquity, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.

The lips of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD: but those who deal truly are his delight.

Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food suitable for me:

These are the things that you shall do; Speak every man the truth to his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:

Therefore putting away lying, let everyone speak truth with his neighbor: for we are members of one another.

Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds;

And he changed his behavior before them, and pretended to be insane in their hands, and scribbled on the doors of the gate, and let his saliva fall down upon his beard.

And David said to Ahimelech the priest, The king has commanded me to do an errand, and has said to me, Let no man know anything of the errand on which I send you, and what I have commanded you: and I have assigned my servants to such and such a place.

And Achish said, Where have you made a raid today? And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the Jerahmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites.
