And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure to Abraham for a possession of a burying place by the sons of Heth.

For his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field for a possession of a burying place from Ephron the Hittite, before Mamre.

And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from here.

For I know that you will bring me to death, and to the house appointed for all living.

Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goes to his lasting home, and the mourners go about the streets:

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

If a man begets a hundred children, and lives many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he has no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he.
