And he said to him, See, I have accepted you concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for which you have spoken.

And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing:

Perhaps there be fifty righteous within the city: will you also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

Behold now, this city is near to flee to, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape to there, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.

Hurry, escape to there; for I cannot do anything till you be come to there. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

If you do well, shall you not be accepted? and if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And unto you shall be his desire, and you shall rule over him.

He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.

He will fulfil the desire of those who fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.

And the LORD said to Moses, I will do this thing also that you have spoken: for you have found grace in my sight, and I know you by name.

Thus says the LORD to this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not restrained their feet, therefore the LORD does not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he sends forth judgment bringing victory.

I say to you, Though he will not rise and give him anything, because he is his friend, yet because of his insistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.

Therefore in all things it was necessary for him to be made like his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

So David received from her hand that which she had brought him, and said to her, Go up in peace to your house; see, I have heard and consented to your voice, and have accepted your person.
