But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very great;

And the men said to Lot, Have you here any besides? son in law, and your sons, and your daughters, and whatever you have in the city, bring them out of this place:

Woe to the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

And have I now come up without the LORD against this land to destroy it? the LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.

Then the angel of the LORD went out, and struck down in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

So that the LORD could no longer bear it, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which you have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.

And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and throw your carcasses upon the carcasses of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.

And immediately the angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give God the glory: and he was eaten by worms, and gave up the ghost.

Moreover all these curses shall come upon you, and shall pursue you, and overtake you, till you be destroyed; because you did not listen to the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you:

I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon completely perish off of the land to which you go over Jordan to possess it; you shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall completely be destroyed.

Behold, the wages of the laborers who have reaped your fields, which are by you kept back by fraud, cry out: and the cries of those who have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Hosts.

Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
