And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light on the earth,

I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

Have you commanded the morning since your days; and caused the dawn to know its place;

O LORD our Lord, how excellent is your name in all the earth! who have set your glory above the heavens.

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have established;

Thus says the LORD; If you can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there should not be day and night in their season;

Thus says the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the orderly arrangements of heaven and earth;

For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set you to be a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.
