Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had worked among the Gentiles by them.
And when they were opposed, and blasphemed, he shook his garments, and said to them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from this time on I will go to the Gentiles.
But when I saw that they did not walk uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, If you, being a Jew, live according to the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why do you compel the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given to me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship; that we should go to the heathen, and they to the circumcision.
But as we were considered by God to be qualified to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who examines our hearts.
Because of which I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and do not lie;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
And consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given to him has written to you;
