And when the man who had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.
And he brought me there, and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.
Then he brought me out by the way of the gate northward, and led me around the way outside to the outer gate by the way that looks eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.
Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has shed forth this, which you now see and hear.
And there was given me a reed like a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship in it.
