See, for the LORD has given you the sabbath, therefore he gives you on the sixth day the bread of two days; remain ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you a holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whoever does work therein shall be put to death.
Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it; who keeps the sabbath from polluting it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.
And I polluted them in their own gifts to their idols, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that opens the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.
And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it according to my judgments: and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all my assemblies; and they shall hallow my sabbaths.
Only he shall not go in unto the veil, nor come near to the altar, because he has a blemish; so that he does not profane my sanctuaries: for I the LORD do sanctify them.
Speak to the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall you have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.
Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
It shall be to you a sabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening until evening, shall you celebrate your sabbath.
Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
And may the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
