And what one nation in the earth is like your people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and awesome, for your land, before your people, which you redeemed to yourself from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?
And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and struck down in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred eighty five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.
And showed signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for you knew that they acted proudly against them. So did you get yourself a name, as it is this day.
And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get honor over Pharaoh, and over all his army, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.
And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honored over Pharaoh, and over all his army; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so.
Who have set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even until this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and have made you a name, as at this day;
For from the rising of the sun even to the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, says the LORD of hosts.
But cursed be the deceiver who has in his flock a male, and vows, and sacrifices unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, says the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.
For the scripture says to Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
For certain men have crept in secretly who long ago were appointed to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Woe unto us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty Gods? these are the Gods that struck the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness.
