The ark of the testimony, and the poles thereof, and the mercy seat,

And you shall make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

And the covering of rams’ skins dyed red, and the covering of badgers’ skins, and the veil of the covering,

The table, and all the vessels thereof, and the showbread,

And over it the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat; of which we cannot now speak in detail.

The Holy Spirit signifying this, that the way into the sanctuary was not yet made known, while the first tabernacle was yet standing:
