For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for donkey, for sheep, for clothing, or for any manner of lost thing, which another claims to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double to his neighbor.

That which was torn of beasts I did not bring to you; I bore the loss of it; of my hand did you require it, whether stolen by day, or stolen by night.

If any man trespasses against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath comes before your altar in this house:

And whatever cause shall come to you from your people that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, you shall even warn them that they should not trespass against the LORD, and so wrath come upon you, and upon your people: this do, and you shall not trespass.

If a man delivers to his neighbor a donkey, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it dies, or is hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it:

You shall not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of your people.

If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or donkey, or sheep; he shall restore double.

Or all that about which he has sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in full, and shall add the fifth part more to it, and give it to him to whom it belongs, in the day of his trespass offering.

Moreover if your brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone: if he shall hear you, you have gained your brother.

So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also to each one of you, if you from your hearts do not forgive your brother for his trespasses.

If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.
