And they shall remove the rivers far away; and the brooks of defense shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and rushes shall wither.

And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

And when they had departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and remain there until I bring you word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

Then Herod, when he saw that he was despised by the wise men, was exceedingly angry, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the region thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

The same dealt deceitfully with our kindred, and treated our fathers badly, so that they cast out their young children, in order that they might not live.
