But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur held up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

And the LORD said to Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly extinguish the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because the LORD God of Israel fought for Israel.

And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and struck them with the edge of the sword, and he completely destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD commanded.

For Joshua did not draw his hand back, with which he stretched out the spear, until he had completely destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.
