And the LORD spoke to Moses, Say to Aaron, Take your rod, and stretch out your hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.

He stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD has given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy the strongholds thereof.

Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;

Who says to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up your rivers:

Why, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die of thirst.

Are you not the arm which has dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that has made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?

But I am the LORD your God, who divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name.

That led them by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name?

That led them through the deep, as a horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble?

Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was your anger against the rivers? was your wrath against the sea, that you rode upon your horses and your chariots of salvation?

He brought them out, after he had shown wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.

For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when you came out of Egypt; and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you completely destroyed.

And the priests that carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people had fully passed over Jordan.

For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before you, until you had passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we had gone over:
