You have also given me the shield of your salvation: and your gentleness has made me great.

And he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand has he hid me, and made me a polished arrow; in his quiver has he hid me;

For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was covered with zeal like a cloak.

Therefore have I cut them down by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and your judgments are as the light that goes forth.

Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts.

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Jesus said to him, It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God.

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing apart of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his face was like the sun shining in its strength.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives even to death.

And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should strike the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Repent; or else I will come to you quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

And he had a helmet of brass on his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.

And Saul said to him, Whose son are you, you young man? And David answered, I am the son of your servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.
