And he drank of the wine, and was drunk; and he was uncovered within his tent.

Those who sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.

Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

Draw me, we will run after you: the king has brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in you, we will remember your love more than wine: the upright love you.

And the roof of your mouth like the best wine for my beloved, that goes down sweetly, causing the lips of those that are asleep to speak.

And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make for all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

Woe to those who are mighty to drink wine, and men with strength to mix strong drink:

Ho, every one who thirsts, come ye to the waters, and he who has no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Do not drink wine nor strong drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest you die: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations:

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

And shall begin to strike his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?

But if that servant says in his heart, My lord is delaying his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

And be careful of yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be weighed down with gluttony, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

And said to him, Every man at the beginning sets out good wine; and when men have had plenty to drink, then that which is worse: but you have kept the good wine until now.

For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith: and many people were added to the Lord.

Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in impurity and licentiousness, not in disputing and envying.

For in eating every one has his own supper before the other: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

But now I have written to you not to keep company, if anyone that is called a brother is a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a scoffer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one not even to eat.

Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

And they shall say to the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.

For those who sleep sleep in the night; and those who are drunken are drunken in the night.

If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of uproar or unruly.
