Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen let no man come in with the king to the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and tomorrow I am invited to her also with the king.

For their calamity shall arise suddenly; and who knows the ruin of them both?

Do not boast about tomorrow; for you do not know what a day may bring forth.

He, that being often reproved hardens his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him?

Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

For who knows what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spends as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?

In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also has appointed the one along with the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.

For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knows either love or hatred from all that is before them.

For man also does not know his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.

Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man is coming.

The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he is not looking for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
