Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.

That the triumph of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?

That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.

The LORD tests the righteous: but the wicked and him that loves violence his soul hates.

All things have I seen in the days of my vanity: there is a just man that perishes in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongs his life in his wickedness.

It is good that you should take hold of this; yea, also from that withdraw not your hand: for he that fears God shall come forth from them all.

There is no man that has power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither has he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.

Woe to the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a broken place ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly in an instant.

There is no peace, says my God, for the wicked.

There shall be no more from there an infant that lives a few days, nor an old man that has not filled his days: for the child shall die a hundred years old; but the sinner being a hundred years old shall be accursed.

They are not humbled even to this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.

Then shall you return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that serves him not.

And shall come forth; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of damnation.

Although you do not know what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little while, and then vanishes away.

And through covetousness shall they with deceitful words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now for a long time has not delayed, and their damnation does not slumber.
