Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to those who see the sun.
But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?
The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.
For the profit of it is better than the profit of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
She is more precious than rubies: and all the things you can desire are not to be compared to her.
Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:
Then I saw that wisdom excels folly, as far as light excels darkness.
Do not say, What is the reason that the former days were better than these? for you do not inquire wisely concerning this.
