And he brought back all the goods, and also brought back his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.

And Lot went out, and spoke to his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Get up, and leave this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked to his sons in law.

But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

Surely he shall not feel contentment in his belly, he shall not save any of that which he desired.

So are the ways of every one that is greedy for gain; which takes away the life of the possessors thereof.

For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

Riches do not profit in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivers from death.

Do not labor to be rich: cease from your own wisdom.

For riches are not for ever: and does the crown endure to every generation?

There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he has neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labor; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither says he, For whom do I labor, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a hard toil.

But those riches perish by evil toil: and he begets a son, and there is nothing in his hand.

All this have I seen, and applied my heart to every work that is done under the sun: there is a time in which one man rules over another to his own hurt.

In that day a man shall throw his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD’S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a sudden end of all those who dwell in the land.

There was a certain rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen, and lived luxuriously every day:

And Zacchaeus stood, and said to the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore to him fourfold.
