And David said to him, Your blood be upon your head; for your mouth has testified against you, saying, I have slain the LORD’S anointed.

But I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the moving of my lips would assuage your grief.

As for the head of those that surround me, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

He that loves pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend.

As a thorn goes up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouth of fools.

She opens her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

The words of the wise are like goads, and as nails fastened by the leaders of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

The fool folds his hands together, and eats his own flesh.

Be not rash with your mouth, and let not your heart be hasty to speak any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and you upon earth: therefore let your words be few.

Do not permit your mouth to cause your flesh to sin; neither say before the angel, that it was a mistake: why should God be angry at your voice, and destroy the work of your hands?

The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that rules among fools.

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

And he said to him, Out of your own mouth will I judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was a severe man, taking up what I did not lay down, and reaping what I did not sow:

And all bore him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace to the hearers.

Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every person.
