I prayed therefore to the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, do not destroy your people and your inheritance, which you have redeemed through your greatness, which you have brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

And what one nation in the earth is like your people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and awesome, for your land, before your people, which you redeemed to yourself from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?

For they are your people, and your inheritance, which you brought forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:

For you did separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be your inheritance, as you spoke by the hand of Moses your servant, when you brought our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD.

Now these are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your great power, and by your strong hand.

Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.

Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

Save your people, and bless your inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.

​Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me: for my soul trusts in you: yea, in the shadow of your wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities pass over.

You have with your arm redeemed your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.

And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.

Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among those who call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

You in your mercy have led forth the people which you have redeemed: you have guided them in your strength to your holy habitation.

Now therefore, I pray you, if I have found grace in your sight, show me now your way, that I may know you, that I may find grace in your sight: and consider that this nation is your people.

And he said, If now I have found grace in your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray you, go among us; for it is a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.

Sing, O you heavens; for the LORD has done it: shout, you lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it: for the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.

We are yours: you never ruled over them; they were not called by your name.

Do not abhor us, for your name’s sake, do not disgrace the throne of your glory: remember, break not your covenant with us.

Then said the LORD to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go away.

Behold, O LORD, and consider to whom you have done this. Shall the women eat the fruit of their body, and children carried in their arms? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?

For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of servants; and I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he has spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust you out of the way which the LORD your God commanded you to walk in. So shall you put the evil away from the midst of you.

And you shall remember that you were a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you: therefore I command you this thing today.

Be merciful, O LORD, to your people Israel, whom you have redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto your people of Israel’s charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them.

For the LORD’S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn to your fathers, has the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

And the LORD said to me, Arise, go down quickly from here; for your people which you have brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made themselves a molten image.

Remember your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin:

Yet they are your people and your inheritance, which you brought out by your mighty power and by your stretched out arm.

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a special people, zealous for good works.

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

And they sung a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation;

And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it whole for a burnt offering to the LORD: and Samuel cried out unto the Lord for Israel; and the LORD heard him.
